This page explains the two growth surfaces available to you in Seller Center: Advertising, which is paid placement, and the Success Hub, which provides recommended actions for your shop: and the analytics that should inform both. Advertising spend is money out of your account, so read the cost warnings before you start a campaign.
Advertising
Advertising (/seller/advertising) is paid product placement: you pay for visibility, and the return is measured in incremental sales at your margin after advertising cost. Work in this order
- Advertise products that convert. Check your conversion data first (
/seller/analytics/conversion). Paying to show a listing that rarely converts buys more non-buyers. Fix the listing first (see Listing Content Standards), then advertise it. - Know your unit economics. Work out your margin after fees (see Fees and Statements) and your cost per sale before you set a budget. If the cost of acquiring a sale exceeds the margin on that sale, the campaign loses money no matter how well it is targeted.
- Start narrow, then expand. A few proven products, measured carefully, outperform a catalog-wide campaign whose results you cannot attribute.
Warning
Advertising charges accrue as your placement runs. Set a budget and a review date before you launch, and check spend against sales while the campaign is live: not after it ends.
The Success Hub
Analytics → Success Hub (/seller/analytics/success-hub) is the platform's recommended-action surface for your shop. The tools there are
- AutoPrice (
success-hub/AutoPrice): automated repricing recommendations. - Match buy box (
success-hub/match-buy-box): what it would take to win the buy box on your contested listings. - Match price (
success-hub/match-price): price competitiveness recommendations. - Flash deals (
success-hub/flash-deals): participation in deal events. - Fulfill with Pawz (
success-hub/fulfill-with-pawz): enrollment recommendations for Fulfillment by Pawz Shop. - AI edit (
success-hub/genai-edit): AI-assisted improvement of listing content. - Customer favorites (
success-hub/customer-favorites): featured placement. - Restock (
success-hub/restock-seller-fulfilled,success-hub/restock-wfs): replenishment prompts for seller-fulfilled and Fulfillment by Pawz Shop inventory. - Review incentives (
success-hub/review-incentives): post-purchase review requests. - SEM (
success-hub/sem): search engine marketing guidance.
Treat every recommendation as a lead, not an instruction. The hub knows patterns across the platform; it does not know your margins, your supplier constraints, or your strategy. Check each recommendation against your own numbers before you act on it.
Two cautions apply to specific tools
- AI edit produces suggested content, not a finished listing. Review every word before it goes live: generated copy can be fluent and still wrong about your product's specifics, and you are accountable for every claim on your listing (see Listing Content Standards). Disclosure duties for automated content are stated in the Seller Automation Disclosure Policy.
- Review incentives must stay within the Product Review Policy for Sellers: requests must be neutral, sent to all buyers, never conditioned on a positive review, and never paid.
Analytics that feed decisions
The wider Analytics area (/seller/analytics/*): sales, traffic, conversion, search insights, inventory insights, pricing insights, and reports: is your market intelligence. Review it monthly at a minimum, and weekly if advertising or pricing decisions depend on it.
- Search insights (
/seller/analytics/search-insights): what buyers search for. A gap between searches and your assortment is a product opportunity. - Conversion (
/seller/analytics/conversion): where your funnel loses buyers. Traffic without conversion is a listing problem. - Reports (
/seller/analytics/reports): exportable data for your own analysis.
If something goes wrong
- Advertising spend with no return: the listing did not convert before you paid to promote it. Pause the spend, fix conversion, then restart narrowly.
- A Success Hub recommendation that would hurt your margin: the hub optimizes for platform patterns, not your profit. Verify every recommendation against your own figures before acting.
- AI-assisted content containing a false claim: the violation is yours, not the tool's. Review all generated content before publication.
