This page explains how your orders reach you in Seller Center, the order views, how to acknowledge and ship: including in bulk: how to pause operations, and the fulfillment standard you are held to. This page summarizes the Fulfillment Policy, which governs.
How your orders reach you
Your orders are platform order records tagged to your seller account. The portal matches your sign-in email to your seller record and shows your orders newest-first, 100 per view, with an optional status filter. Each order shows its total, status, payment status, fulfillment status, date, and the customer's email.
Two consequences follow. The 100-order limit means the inbox is a working view, not an archive: use the status filter to find older orders. And if your sign-in email stops matching your seller record, your orders do not appear in the portal (see Seller Center Overview).
The order views
- Orders → Inbox (
/seller/orders/inbox): every order, newest first. Your daily starting point. - Orders → Unshipped (
/seller/orders/unshipped): the orders that need you now. If you open one orders page per day, make it this one. - Orders → Late (
/seller/orders/late): orders past their promised ship date. Every order here is damaging your late shipment rate (see Performance and Account Health). Work this view oldest first. - Orders → Cancelled (
/seller/orders/cancelled): your cancellation history. Review it weekly; repeated cancellations of the same product, or cancellations clustering after weekends, point to a listing or operations problem. - Orders → [id] (
/seller/orders/[id]): the order detail page: line items, customer information, payment status, fulfillment status, and shipping address. Open this page before you reply to a buyer about an order.
Acknowledge and ship
Acknowledging an order confirms you have seen it and will fulfill it.
- Open Orders → Unshipped.
- Select the orders you are actually shipping today.
- Acknowledge them: individually, or in one action under Orders → Bulk acknowledge (
/seller/orders/bulk-acknowledge). - As parcels go out, mark them shipped with tracking: individually, or under Orders → Bulk ship (
/seller/orders/bulk-ship).
Do not acknowledge orders you cannot ship. The buyer's clock runs from your acknowledgment, so an acknowledged order that does not ship is worse than one not yet acknowledged.
Warning
Marking an order shipped and buying a label are not the shipment itself. An order counts as shipped when the carrier scans the parcel; a label that is created but never handed to the carrier leaves the order unshipped and the late-shipment clock running.
Pause operations
Orders → Pause operations (/seller/orders/pause-operations) temporarily stops new orders when you cannot fulfill: a vacation, a warehouse move, a supplier disruption, or illness in a one-person shop. Pausing is always better than accepting orders you cannot ship: orders accepted into a known fulfillment gap become late shipments and cancellations, and both outlive the gap in your metrics. Pause, fix the problem, then resume.
The fulfillment standard you are held to
The fulfillment and shipping commitment you accepted at onboarding is the operating contract: ship within your stated handling time, provide tracking, and meet the delivery promise shown to the buyer. Set your handling time to what you can do on your worst day, not your best: the metric that matters is the promise kept, not the promise made. The numeric standards are stated in the Service Level Requirements.
If something goes wrong
- Inbox is empty but you know you have orders: check for a sign-in email mismatch first, then use the status filter: the 100-order view may be hiding older orders behind newer ones.
- A bulk action completes for only some orders: check which orders actually changed state on their detail pages before you retry. Retrying without checking can double-acknowledge or double-ship an order.
- Tracking never shows a carrier scan: the tracking number was entered incorrectly, or the parcel was never handed to the carrier. Carrier-scanned tracking is what counts under the Tracking Policy.
- You cannot fulfill and have not paused: pause now. Every additional order accepted is another late shipment.
