Quick Links

This standard governs Quick Links: the tenant-scoped list of shortcuts to the places administrators open constantly, kept as records in the Platform and shown in the command palette and in the Quick Links card on the Settings Overview screen. Quick Links records exist to be created and managed; where a Quick Links card is empty, it is not broken: nobody has added any yet. The Organization Administrator maintains the list for the tenant; any administrator with the administration grant at Read level may follow the links, and the Write level is required to change them, under Admin Users. A quick link is a convenience only: it grants no access, changes no permission, and never overrides a governing legal document or an access decision.

Each link is a label, an address, an optional icon, an order position, and a marker for whether it opens in a new tab. The list is kept per tenant, so a franchise tenant's launchpad holds its own destinations and not the Company's.

  1. Add a link with its label, address, icon where wanted, and new-tab choice.
  2. Reorder by assigning a new order position; the palette and the card follow the order.
  3. Retire a link rather than deleting it: retiring marks the link inactive, the views show active links only, and a retired link can be reactivated without reconstructing it. Retiring preserves history and allows a link to return; row deletion is for data the Company never wants to see again, and retiring is for links not needed this quarter.
  4. Where the management screen will not save, the operator checks their own administration grant level before suspecting the data: reads require the administration grant at Read level and changes require Write, under Admin Users.

What belongs on the list

The value of the launchpad is entirely in being correct and current. A link pointing somewhere stale is worse than no link: it trains people not to trust the launchpad, and then everyone returns to individual bookmarks and the purpose is lost. Good candidates are

  1. The storefront: opened in a private window when checking what customers see, because an administrative session, stored page copies, and a signed-in state all make the site look different to staff than to a first-time visitor.
  2. The customer portal sign-in.
  3. The payment processor's console: payouts and disputes live there, not in the Platform; the processor is the record of authority for money, under Payments (Accounting Payments).
  4. The booking calendar.
  5. The settings hub itself, governed by Settings.

One habit is built on this list: after any change to products, categories, pricing, or hours, the operator opens the storefront link and checks the change as a customer would. The storefront keeps stored copies aggressively; where a change does not appear, a forced refresh comes before any conclusion that the site is broken. A large share of "the site is broken" alarms resolve at that step.

Controls

  • Who may change the list. The Organization Administrator, and any administrator holding the administration grant at Write level for the tenant concerned. Franchise tenants maintain their own lists and do not alter the Company's.
  • A link's address is verified when it is added and at each quarterly review. A link is never pointed at a page that collects credentials, a banking sign-in, or any destination whose address an operator has not verified; a launchpad that staff trust is a high-value target for a substituted address.
  • Banking and processor credentials are never placed in a link, a label, or any other record; a link points to a sign-in page, never through it.
  • A quick link confers nothing: following one into a screen the operator has no grant for results in the ordinary access refusal, under Admin Users.

Records created and where they are kept

Quick link records, including retired links and their order positions, are kept in the Platform's administrative records for the tenant and retained under the Regulatory Record Retention Policy.

Escalation

A link found pointing to an unverified or substituted destination is retired immediately and reported to an owner the same day, and to legal@aapawz.com where substitution is suspected. Management-screen failures go to support@aapawz.com after the grant check above.

Review cadence

The list is reviewed quarterly. Businesses accumulate links the way drawers accumulate cables; every link earns its place by being opened weekly. Anything else is clutter that slows down finding the ones that matter, and it is retired at the review.
